OOTD: Turtleneck Weather

I got this yellow turtleneck for only $5 at Forever 21. Originally, it was $17.99, but I snagged this sweater for way cheaper because it was during their big sale after New Year’s Eve. I love wearing sweaters during the winter time, but the cropped ones definitely flatter my shape more and look great with high waisted jeans.

Sweater Weather

This winter outfit was perfect for a day out. I went to a winery in Warwick and the weather was actually in the 40’s, so I wasn’t totally freezing when I took this photo. This H&M sweater was only $10, and it was marked down from its original price quite a bit. I love a good chunky knit sweater, and I really liked this color on me. The boots were also on sale for $15, and I’ve worn them the most out of all my boots so far this winter, so I definitely got a bargain.

Hope everyone is enjoying the sweater weather!

Christmas Wishlist

I have not blogged in ages because I’ve been  busy with school, but I decided to end the year with a handful of posts. I wanted to share a Christmas Wishlist with some of my favorite Pinterest finds. Here are some of my clothing and accessory finds that I’ll be looking for this season.

Red Batwing Long Sleeve Loose Knit Sweater:

Chunky Sweater – I have so many chunky knits, but I especially love the long baggy sweaters. They’re comfortable to wear with just leggings and converse, but they also work for dressier occasions with skirts or statement necklaces.

Laura McKittrick, The Greenwich Girl: a luxury lifestyle brand and digital magazine www.thegreenwichgirl.com:

Long Cardigan– When I first started seeing these long cardigans, I didn’t initially like them, but after seeing how people wear them, I want one. They’re great to wear over any outfit. I’ve also seen people wear them with skirts and dresses too.

Zoe Leather Look Leggings:

Leather Leggings– This is a trend I’ve wanted for a while. I didn’t really like leather until my mom bought me a burgundy pair of  leggings with leather panels on the sides. For the wintertime, these leggings would be great for playing around with textures.

ASOS Ribbed Cropped Turtleneck:

Crop Top– I love crop tops. The fit is great on my shape. However, for the winter, they’re not functional. These cropped ribbed sweaters are perfect because they’re warm, but still have a crop top fit.

Chunky watch with delicate bracelets.:

Watch– I’ve really wanted a nice watch for a while. I just haven’t found the right one. I love the over sized ones and think they look great with dainty layered bracelets.

12. Ombre - 12 Cute DIY IPhone Cases ... | All Women Stalk:

Phone Case– I need a new phone case. So far, I’ve gone through a couple cases, and they haven’t been anything special. On Amazon, they have so many designs and patterns to choose from.

Easy wallet pattern from a single fat quarter! By Dog Under My Desk:

Wallet– When I run errands, I like to carry a smaller bag, and it’s hard to find a wallet that’s small and still has the necessary compartments.

Hope you liked the list! If you liked any of the items from above, I left the link to each of the pins.

How to Wear Winter Clothes During the Spring

If the weather has been too chilly to be wearing tank tops and shorts every day, here are some ways to incorporate your winter clothes into the spring weather.

1) Wear Cardigans with Dresses– This a nice cover up for an event or a night out. These sweaters are warm enough to wear outside and pair well with summery and spring dresses.

2) Wear chunky/cropped sweaters with cutoff shorts- This is a cute fun look if you’re just going to run errands. You can finish the look with a pair of sandals or flats, and add a long chain. I think it is casual, but still girly. If the weather is too chilly for either shoe, opt for a short boot like the photo below.

3) Wear a scarf with a tank top- I’ve seen a lot of people do this look as a sporty “on the go” outfit. It is easy to pair a loose printed scarf with a basic tank top. I think a messy bun and sunglasses would be great finishes too.

4) Wear a turtleneck with a midi skirt- These skirts are super cute and flirty. This is a super cute day look to wear. That being said, don’t wear a chunky turtleneck. Stick to the fitted ones to pair with a nice billowy skirt.

Hope you liked this post! Have a happy Sunday! 🙂

Gray knitted Sweater- Deb Shops $13.95

Tank top- Marshall’s $9.99

Black Jeans- Burlington Coat Factory $11.99

Short Black Leather Boots- Burlington Coat Factory- $19.99

This entire outfit was under $60.00! I was going to wear my sweater with a simple tee, but decided to pair it with a summery tank top I haven’t worn in a while. This is one of my favorite tank tops and I love the detailing on the bottom. I also liked the mix of textures!

Have a happy Tuesday and remember to follow me if you liked this post!

Deb Shops Steals

So I went shopping yesterday for the first time in forever. I stopped into Deb Shops because I noticed all the signs saying they’re going out of business. Their sale was really good and I found two pieces that I really liked.

If there’s a Deb Shop by you, check it out! Everything is their store is now 50%-70% off.

Gray Knitted Sweater $13.95- I love chunky sweaters during the wintertime. They’re so cozy and the over-sized ones are my favorite. I got this gray one a size bigger so it would fit baggy with layers. These sweaters are usually really expensive, so I was really happy that I found a much cheaper one.

Coral Tank Top $1.90- Yes, I got this for $1.90! Tank tops are perfect to buy during the winter because they’re much cheaper than they are during the spring and summer. I liked the color of this tank, and thought it would pair nicely with a patterned maxi skirt.
