OOTD: Florals & Footwear

Here, I am wearing an off the shoulder blouse by Japna. The fitted ones are really cute too with high waisted shorts and skirts, but if you’re more into flowy tops, then a simple pair of low rise shorts can balance out the outfit. Leggings or skinny jeans would also pair well with this shirt. These shorts are from H&M for $12.99.

I also love these sandals by Rouge Helium from Joyce Leslie. I think slides are a little too chunky for me, but these simple sandals have straps that are more fitted. Overall, this was a really casual summer outfit that’s probably more appropriate when the weather is a little cooler with the oversized sleeves from the top. Hope you enjoyed this quick post.

August Favorites

So for this favorites post, I don’t have a ton of beauty products to share. I have a lot of random products and accessories to share instead. I also share some TV and literature stuff here too, so hopefully you enjoy the mixed bag of favorites I will be sharing.FullSizeRender (9)

So I’ve been using this Lancome Blush Subtil, which is an oil free blush and I love how understated and rosy this color is. On darker skin, it pops just enough. A lot of the times, I’ll see blushes in vibrant colors and it just doesn’t work on my skin tone. The shimmer on this is also amazing. The second product is the Lancome Youth Activating Eye Cream, and it’s awesome if you have dark circles. You just need a little dime size amount to dab around your eyes.FullSizeRender (8)

This $7.99 watch is rubber and it is from Joyce Leslie. I have a rose gold watch, which I love, but it’s not versatile to wear every day. This one is nice because it’s rubber and easy to wear everyday. I also love this nude color with the gold on this watch. Also, I’ve been obsessed with gold rings as well. I’ve been loving the ring trend, where people wear tons of rings on one hand. These ones were $5.00 from Rue21 and if you don’t want them to turn your finger green, use some clear nail polish on them.FullSizeRender (7)

This was a cute notebook for a buck at Michael’s. It’s small enough to take everywhere so I’ve been jotting homework and blog ideas in here. If you’re a writer like myself, take one of these around everywhere you go.FullSizeRender (11)

This was a book I read during the month of August. Here’s my full review here:https://mytrendingstories.com/article/book-review-since-youve-been-gone/ Overall, I really loved the message of this book. It’s about living your life to the fullest around the people that make you happy. The main character goes through some serious growth and the love interest is a fantastic character as well.FullSizeRender (13)

These sunglasses were $2.00 from Wet Seal, and I just kind of threw them in my basket because they were cheap. But if you’re nervous to try these kinds of retro sunglasses, these are great. I wear them everywhere.

stranger things

This was my show of the summer. It was so amazing. Also, here’s my full review:https://mytrendingstories.com/article/review-lets-talk-about-stranger-things-season-1/ I love these kids. I want Millie, Finn, Caleb and Gaten to be my best friends. They’re fantastic, and the plot is pretty original with little homages to movies like E.T and Super 8.

Anyway, I know my list if random, but I hoped you enjoyed it! 🙂

Today, I went for a more bohemian look and opted for this loose fitted feather printed tank top with a frill. It’s supposed to be very loose flowing, and I love that it’s like a more relaxed peplum top. The top was $6.99 from Old Navy. I’m also wearing ripped black jeans from Joyce Leslie, which were $20.00. My rose gold necklaces were also from Joyce Leslie for $2.00, which is a steal. I went for a top knot with the whole look and thought it pulled the outfit together nicely.

This was my concert outfit that I wore on Saturday at the Prudential Center. The details for each piece is below.

Tesco Off the Shoulder Top: $15.99

Next Look Pant: $14.99

Cotton On Wedged Boots: $15.00

I really like the off the shoulder look. It’s boho and perfect for the summer. Because I wore such a loose top, I wore my high-waisted pants to balance out the outfit.

H&M Printed Tank Top: $9.99: Again, I really focused on different fun prints and, I liked the criss cross straps on this tank top.

Crocheted Tank Top by Rebel Sugar from Marshall’s: $9.99 Polka dot Printed Pant with Sheer Panels from Burlington Coat Factory: $10.98: I love these pants. The print is a messy polka dot print which appears as if it were painted on. I wasn’t sure about the sheer panels on the bottom, but when I tried them on, it looked really cool and modern.

OOTD and OOTN 5/9/15

I bought this really comfy jumpsuit from Romwe.com, and I love that I can lounge around in it. The dress was for a banquet, and I loved the gingham print on this dress. I also really like envelope styled skirts and dresses and thought the white piping really highlighted the asymmetrical cut of the dress.

Romwe Gray Jumpsuit: $16.97

Black and White Envelope Dress from Joyce Leslie: $19.99

Cotton On Boots: $15.00

Hope you liked this post!
