Girl Meets World Fashion

I’ve been catching up on shows, and Girl Meets World has a handful of episodes, where there was a ton of fashion. Here’s some fashion from various of the latest episodes. If I didn’t leave a link to the clothing, it’s because they’re sold out.

Ecote Diagonal Crochet Fringe Tank worn by Rowan Blanchard on Girl Meets World

Riley wore this fun fringed top, and it worked with her preppy style because the colors are so playful and quirky.

Express Floral Print High Waisted A-Line Skirt worn by Rowan Blanchard on Girl Meets World
Riley’s Skirt

I love this skirt. It has such a beautiful print and I love that she wore it with this sporty type zipped top. I’m really loving these zippered shirts for the fall too.

Nasty Gal Flower Trip Bomber Jacket worn by Maya Hart on Girl Meets World
Maya’s Jacket

Maya’s bomber jacket is awesome for the fall. The color is gorgeous and I love that it’s in this satin material. Of course, she makes it more Maya by pairing it with necklaces and a graphic tee.

Hart Denim 'Daryl' Distressed Denim Overalls worn by Riley Matthews on Girl Meets World
Riley’s Overalls

Riley’s overalls are classic. The kind of staple everyone should have. I love the small rips here and there along with its relaxed fit.

Free People Love Potion Top worn by Sabrina Carpenter on Girl Meets World
Maya’s Blouse

Maya’s jacket is really cute here, but I really loved the blouse here. The little peek of lace is super pretty with this delicate print. I like that she toughened up the outfit with this utilitarian jacket.

Hollister Lace Up Ribbed Polo worn by Rowan Blanchard on Girl Meets World

Finally, I loved this top from Hollister. It’s super casual and comfy looking, which would be great for the fall weather too. Overall, I thought a lot of the pieces I highlighted are great for the changing weather. Thank you to WornOnTV for the photos provided. Additionally, check out the website for more fashion from television.

Girl Meets I Do Fashion

Girl Meets I Do brought tons of different fashion, including Riley and Maya. I also really liked the episode, and you can check out my review here: https://mytrendingstories.com/article/girl-meets-world-review-shawn-and-katy-say-i-do/

Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply Plaid Ruffled Top worn by Rowan Blanchard on Girl Meets World
Riley’s Ruffled Top

I loved Riley’s little ruffled top with her bell bottom pants. It’s super preppy and romantic with the ruffles. She always rocks her bell bottoms, but I really liked the ruffled top paired with it. Maya also wears a staple in her criss cross top, but she pairs it with this boho skirt.

Disney Channel

I couldn’t find the details for any of the dresses, but I liked that Riley wore this dusty rose colored dress that was form fitting. Her romantic updo really looked pretty too. I also liked that Maya wore a fit and flare dress with simple hair and styling. I also liked Katy’s dress and how quirky and romantic it felt. Disney Channel

Thank you to Worn on TV, and Disney Channel for their photos and details on the clothing in the episode.

The Fosters Fashion

For today’s blog post, here is some of the fashion from the last episode of The Fosters. Also, here is a link to my latest review on the episode: https://mytrendingstories.com/article/the-fosters-highs-lows/

Wildfox Land Faraway Opal Sweater worn by Cierra Ramirez on The Fosters
Mariana’s Unicorn Sweater

Mariana’s unicorn sweater was a bit of a surprise because I’m used to her style either being flirty or preppy, but I do like this girly vibe for her in this episode.

BDG Abbey Camp Button Down Shirt worn by Maia Mitchell on The Fosters
Callie’s Crop Top

Callie wears a plaid crop top with her top knot, and it works because she’s also wearing high-waisted jeans. She also wears a more relaxed flannel in the photo below. If you like looking at some of the fashion from here, check out WornOnTV.com.

So Callie wore this really cute top from The Fosters the other day, and I found the details on her Topshop blouse at WornOnTV. What I’m still searching for is Courtney’s romper that she wore from the episode.

My Thoughts on Project Runway

So I took a break from Project Runway reviews because I’ve been busy with classes. We’re down to the final four, and I wanted to do a quick summary on the eliminated contestants and final four.

http://cubify.com/store/design?reference=Design

Edmond: Edmond is my favorite to win. Personally, I like his aesthetic the best. It’s clean, fresh and innovative. I loved his red bombshell dress. Out of all the designers, he is the most strategic with the concepts of the  challenges.

Kelly: Kelly from the deli has had quite the transformation. I think she’s another force to be reckon with. She finally gets how to edit down her crazy ideas, and her taste level has elevated. Her silver tin dress was perfection, and her brick dress was surprisingly chic and playful. I think she could have a great collection as long as it’s cohesive.

Ashley: Ashley’s storyline has focused a lot about her insecurities. I think she has the potential for a fun, flirty collection, as long as she’s confident. I also think she does romantic styles very well too. Her standout moment for me was the photograph fit and flare dress.

Candice: For some reason, I’m not as invested in Candice’s pieces as the other three designers. Her red dress was stunning, but I agreed with Nina. She could’ve done more. I am excited to see her black edgy style in a collection.

Merline: I love Merline’s personality. She’s so positive, and I think her work is underrated. I agree that her last dress was lackluster compared to the others though.

Swapnil: For some reason, Swapnil got the weirdest “I don’t care,” edit. I think he wanted to win, but he was distracted. Looking back, his earlier pieces were much better than what he ended with.

As far as the other designers, I knew they were goners. Laurie, Joseph, and Lindsey were not surprises. Blake was kind of surprising because he was starting to grow on me during his last few episodes.

Other than that, the final four will all probably go to fashion week because Tim will use his save on whoever is kicked off. I can’t remember the last time there was a final three anyway. I’m pretty happy with what the designers left, so I’m looking forward to the last few episodes.

Project Runway Review: Episode 1

So Project Runway is back with Season 14. I’m so excited after a great last season with my favorite, Sean Kelly, winning with his fringe collection. The designers all have great feisty personalities, but overall, I wasn’t that impressed with the designs. However, I’m stoked that the next episode is the unconventional challenge. That’s always where the best designs are.

  • PR yellow skirtAshley– I loved this look! The top reminds me of white eyelet to wear during the summer and spring. Nina was so on point about her design being the only one with texture. The back scalloped is modern and fresh, and she definitely has a point of view. I can’t wait to see more from her, and I’m so glad she got the confidence boost that she needed.
  • PR blue maxiDavid– I can’t believe he wasn’t in the top 3. He was  one of the few designers to successfully mix prints, and he made it sleek by making a very billowy maxi dress with oversized sleeves. I’m interested to see more of his design aesthetic.
  • edmond newtonEdmond– This was a much better look than it was earlier in the episode. It’s a basic tube dress with a nice neon pop to make the design original. It was a nice representation of his style. He seems like he’s going to have a street, edgy aesthetic.

david

  • Amanda– I thought this look had potential to be in the top three as well. The colors are great together and the fit is perfect. Amanda’s  style seems fun and flirty with bright colors.

Laurie

  • Laurie– This was a well-constructed dress with a ridiculous slit, but it wasn’t terrible.

merlona

  • Merline– If this orange dress was in a chiffon or another lightweight fabric, then it would be great.

swapnil

  • Swapnil– The top was so interesting and would look amazing with a maxi skirt. Instead, it was paired with a stiff skirt. It’s a shame because the top part is really modern and cool.

lindsey

  • Lindsey– This wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything special. It looks like a safe dress/romper to make for the first challenge. Her aesthetic seems really quirky so hopefully we’ll see more of her design.

joseph

  • Joseph– I don’t even remember this one. But it’s okay.

jake

  • Jake– Tim was right. The fabric is the only thing that makes this dress special.

candice

  • Candice– This was another well-constructed dress with an interesting peplum top portion.

blake

  • Blake– I think Blake is a sweetheart, but there’s too much in this dress.

gabriela

  • Gabrielle– This was so boring and I thought this was ill fitting. And she wasn’t shown at all.

duncan

  • Duncan– This dress was badly draped, but I honestly think he left based on his answers to the judges. It’s never a good answer to say that you don’t know who you are as a designer. It’s a shame though because his portfolio looked awesome.

hanmiao

  • Hanmiao– I liked the idea of this dress. It just wasn’t executed right.

kelly

  • Kelly– This was my least favorite of the episode. I just thought the styling was not good, and the asymmetrical straps just looked sloppy.

Other Thoughts:

  • I loved that Tim didn’t sugarcoat how bad some of these outfits looked. This is a simple challenge, and a lot of people went way too simple, and relied on their fabric.
  • I can’t believe three designers didn’t bring their kits.
  • Ashley is my favorite so far. She’s got a great story and a clear voice. David is also someone to look out for.
  • Based on the edit, someone introduced in the beginning segment is going to win…Or they hide the winner like they did with both Dom and Sean.

Not sure if this is going to be the permanent format for my blog, but for now, I’ll share my thoughts on all designers after each episode. Hope you liked this quick review.

The Bachelorette Review : The Other Guy

http://websta.me/p/1022693792035125960_28304109

Finally, we get an exciting episode after two very boring episodes. Does anyone else think this season is dragging a bit?

Here are my thoughts on the final 3 left.

Shawn: Shawn and Kaitlyn had the talk finally about sleeping with Nick. It was really intense, and I felt bad for both of them. However, I didn’t like that Shawn asked Kaitlyn ” why him?” at the rose ceremony. How was she supposed to give him a satisfied answer. Both Shawn and Nick are being insecure because they find each other as a legitimate threat. Anyway, as far as Kaitlyn and Shawn’s relationship, it seemed like their one on one time was supposed to be fun, and Shawn looked excited to see her, and then it got all serious  again. I hope we see some more light-hearted moments.

Nick: I thought Nick’s time with Kaitlyn was great. Their talk throughout the date was fun when they were talking about each other as kids and their first kiss. I also loved that they got to just walk around and have fun. I even laughed when Nick thought their fantasy date was in that weird prison room. But I absolutely hated that Nick threw Shawn completely under the bus by saying more bad things about him. He’s been on the show. He should realize that he should never bring other guys up because it’s a clear sign of insecurity.

Ben H.: I LOVE Ben H. He’s so sweet and genuine. I thought it showed a lot of humility to admit that he felt unlovable and that it was his biggest fear. I think it shows he really cares for Kaitlyn. Also, he isn’t involved in the dumb drama happening. While the preview showed more fighting between Nick and Shawn, we got a glimpse of Ben and Kaitlyn hugging. It would be a great ending if while these two guys are fighting, Ben wins in the end. If he gets cut next week, he’ll definitely be in the running for the next Bachelor.

Other random thoughts:

-Jared had such a classy exit. He offered his coat to her, and while she was crying, he consoled her. He’s such a sweetheart. Is he coming to Bachelor in Paradise? He’d fit the “Marcus” role well.

– Speaking of Bachelor in Paradise, was that Jade and Tanner kissing? They would be such a cute couple. Tanner was the goofy, fun one on his season, and Jade was the sweet, quiet girl. I love it.

– “What’s the number for the other guy?” is what Shawn should have asked the hotel.

– Joe left so coldly. He called Kaitlyn “man” when he was walking out. It was so awkward.

– Saw Cupcake on GMA the other day. He brought cupcakes and floss.

– Loved the sparkly dress Kaitlyn wore during the rose ceremony.

– I don’t care about Britt and Brady. I like when we get bloopers at the end of the episode.
