I love this dress that I wore last weekend. It was only $20.00 from Rue 21, and I loved the way it cinched in at the waist. I’m always wary of Rue 21 because of the quality, but this one was in the sale rack and I loved the design so much so I tried it on. I also really liked how the layers were placed to have an hourglass figure. The little anchor necklace and fishtail was to make the dress a little less formal.
I was very busy in college with classes and finals, so I barely had time to share my outfits from school. Here is a compilation of some of my favorite looks from the school year that I managed to find on my phone.
Forever 21 Romper: $12.99: I loved this romper because it was super comfortable to wear out, and then it was really cute during the day to wear with a cardigan and converse sneakers.
Rue 21 Sweatshirt: $5.00 Forever 21 Leggings: $3.99: I loved how casual this look was. The sweatshirt was perfect for class and it looks a little bit more put together with leggings and converse.
Black Knitted Crop Top: $8.99: I loved this crop top because of the high neckline and the fit. It pairs well with high-waisted jeans because it isn’t too cropped to the point that my stomach was too exposed.
Lizard Printed Blouse from H&M: $12.99 Black Trouser Leggings from H&M: $9.99: This was one of my favorite buys from the spring. The reptile printed blouse is fun and quirky. The pastel and neutral colors also gave the look a more spring vibe.
Here’s the full outfit.
Forever 21 Blue Dress:$12.99 Khaki Jacket by Love Tree: $19.99 Forever 21 Necklace: $8.99: The khaki jacket is great because it pairs well with dresses and skirts. The dress is also cute enough to wear both formally and casually.
Studded Collared Blouse by Mine: $14.99: For a more professional occasion, I wore my hair in a high ponytail to showcase the studding on this blouse.
H&M Cardigan: $11.99 Forever 21 Necklace: $3.99: For a more preppy look, I wore this beige cardigan with white piping on the neckline and down the buttons.
Rue 21 Pink Tank Top: $5.00: This was just a light airy top that I found in the clearance rack of Rue 21.
The summer weather is slowly but surely getting warmer, so here is my summer wishlist for the summertime. I’m excited for some of these trends that I found on Pinterest.
Sheer Paneling– I been loving the sheer paneling trend. I think it’s fun because it gives a peek of skin with a modern, sleek feel to each piece. I really like the paneling that goes into sweaters like the one above. With a more conservative neckline and boxy feel, the paneling works here.
Graphic Tanks– I’ve been loving graphic tees with different sayings on it. I bought a few pullovers and tees like this, but I think the tanks are great for workouts or for lounging around.
Long Necklaces– I’ve been wearing more flowy tops and dresses lately and my statement necklaces don’t always work for more whimsical looks. Long dainty necklaces are perfect for the summer. I love this gold arrow one I found on Pinterest.
Off the Shoulder Tops– I was hesitant about this look, but once I tried it on, I really loved the laidback vibe these shirts give. They’re great for the summertime and it’s definitely a new trend I’m a little more open-minded about.
Sporty Dress– I love the baseball tee look, and when I saw this dress, I decided to add it. This dress would look cute and casual with converse sneakers.
Distressed Shorts– I really love the high-waisted look for shorts. Instead of going with basic cutoffs, I opted for distressed shorts.
Hope you liked my summer wishlist! 🙂
I wanted to make a spring wishlist of clothes I’ve seen on Pinterest. Here are some of the clothes I’ll be looking for the spring weather.
There was so much fashion from last night’s episode of PLL. It’s five years later and the fashion is still consistent. Thank you to PLL Closet on tumblr. Check out her blog here: http://pllcloset.tumblr.com/tagged/6×11
Vince ‘Long Sleeve Abstract Block Tee’ – $93.00: Spencer’s style is still structured with this geometric sweater and a collared shirt underneath.
Elevenses ‘Archival Collection: No 2 Pencil Skirt’ – no longer available: I loved this outfit. The shirt is super cute, but the standout piece is this pencil skirt. A pencil skirt with pencils is very quirky and fits Aria’s style well.
Zara ‘Cape’ – no longer available: I love how modern this cape is. I would expect to see Spencer wearing this over Aria.
Haute Hippie ‘Long Sleeve Silk Shirt Dress’ – $124.97: Ali looked so pretty in this color. This shirt dress really brings out her eyes and I love how her hair was pinned back on the side.
BCBGMAXAZRIA ‘Runway Myles Jacket’ – no longer available: Aria always wears embellished jackets and this one fits Aria’s style well. I like the studs with the Aztec print.
MINKPINK ‘Pina Coladas Tank’ – $39.00: This shirt was perfect for where Emily is five years later. This tank was fun and simple. Very Emily.
Maggy London ‘Illusion Yoke Crepe Sheath Dress’ – $148.00: This was my favorite of the funeral dresses.
Whitney Eve ‘The Baths Dress’ – $107.98: Hanna’s style hasn’t changed too much, but she does look more refined with cream and rose colors.
BCBGMAXAZRIA ‘Keary Burnout Lace Skirt’ – $160.80: This midi skirt is very spring. The paneling also adds a modern touch.
I love seeing all the glamour and glitter of New Year’s Eve outfits, so I decided to share some steals from Forever 21 and H&M. There is a LOT of black, but I think black and sparkle are key when choosing a fun outfit to go out in. And for those who are staying in, I’ll do a separate post on what to wear when you’re staying in and lounging around, but still want to celebrate the occasion.
Forever 21– This is a classic New Year’s Eve dress. It’s shimmery and glamorous with its sparkle, but it’s still relaxed and easygoing with the shift fit of the dress.
H&M– For a more understated sparkle, this dress hugs the body more. It also has a more unique design with a scalloped hem.
Forever 21– This leather crop top is great whether you’re going to a party or spending the evening with friends. For a dressy look, pair it with a simple body con skirt or a wide legged pant like the photo above. For a more casual look, pair it with high-waisted jeans and a knitted cardigan.
Forever 21– I love that this criss-cross style is back. The deep V-neck is a great trend to try out with the drawstring weaved in because it’s a little more modest.
H&M– If you’re not into the sparkle, you can still make a bold statement with a pantsuit. This collared pantsuit is crisp and classic to ring in the new year. It’s perfect if your style is more on the preppier side.
H&M– Fur has become a huge trend this season. I love the idea of wearing this boxy fur top with sleek leather leggings.
H&M– This lace long sleeve is great if you’re spending the new year with family and friends. It’s also on sale, which is a plus.
This was my Christmas outfit. I got this H&M dress on black Friday, and it came in this blood orange color and a floral print. Even though it was a spring dress, I paired it with a cozy knitted cardigan and a simple diamond pendant necklace.
