Girl Meets Ski Lodge Part 1 Fashion

GMW brought its highly anticipated episode, where it is rumored that the triangle will end. Here’s my review for part 1:

Also, here is the fashion from the episode.

Riley has been wearing a lot of romantic reds this season. She wore this ruffled blouse, which she wore in a preppy way with a cargo capri and converse. In her fantasy, she wore a really pretty red dress with a floral print. The headband added a ethereal feel to her usual preppy outfits.

What I couldn’t find was Maya’s top. I loved her little flannel top with the french braids. Her pants are from Forever 21, but they’re all sold out.

Spring/Summer College Outfits

I was very busy in college with classes and finals, so I barely had time to share my outfits from school. Here is a compilation of some of my favorite looks from the school year that I managed to find on my phone.

Forever 21 Romper: $12.99: I loved this romper because it was super comfortable to wear out, and then it was really cute during the day to wear with a cardigan and converse sneakers.

Rue 21 Sweatshirt: $5.00 Forever 21 Leggings: $3.99: I loved how casual this look was. The sweatshirt was perfect for class and it looks a little bit more put together with leggings and converse.

Black Knitted Crop Top: $8.99: I loved this crop top  because of the high neckline and the fit. It pairs well with high-waisted jeans because it isn’t too cropped to the point that my stomach was too exposed.

Lizard Printed Blouse from H&M: $12.99 Black Trouser Leggings from H&M: $9.99: This was one of my favorite buys from the spring. The reptile printed blouse is fun and quirky. The pastel and neutral colors also gave the look a more spring vibe.

Here’s the full outfit.

Forever 21 Blue Dress:$12.99 Khaki Jacket by Love Tree: $19.99 Forever 21 Necklace: $8.99:  The khaki jacket is great because it pairs well with dresses and skirts. The dress is also cute enough to wear both formally and casually.

Studded Collared Blouse by Mine: $14.99: For a more professional occasion, I wore my hair in a high ponytail to showcase the studding on this blouse.

H&M Cardigan: $11.99 Forever 21 Necklace: $3.99: For a more preppy look, I wore this beige cardigan with white piping on the neckline and down the buttons.

Rue 21 Pink Tank Top: $5.00: This was just a light airy top that I found in the clearance rack of Rue 21.

The Bachelorette Review: The Shawn vs Nick Show

Tonight’s episode was probably my least favorite episode. I mean we only got two dates. Bring back the rose ceremonies at the end!!! I’m tired of getting these pointless cliffhangers. Did anyone think Ian was actually going to stay after his insulting speech? Anyway here are my thoughts on my top 5 from tonight, along with some fashion and other thoughts.

Top 5

1) Shawn- I can’t believe the show edited in the part where Shawn said he spent 6-7 hours with Kaitlyn just talking on her bed. And he said that Kaitlyn told him he was the one. We never got to see any of this. Still, we could have seen them just hang out after a long day. Last season, we saw Chris and Britt just hang out in his hotel room after their date. Anyway, Shawn flipped out this episode. He’s clearly protective over Kaitlyn when it comes to Nick, but him flipping out over Jared is a little excessive. He needs to relax and be confident with what they have.

2) Nick- Everyone is buzzing about Kaitlyn sleeping with Nick. She’s getting so much hate on social media and it really isn’t fair. Yes, it wasn’t fair to the other guys. However, the amount of judgement she gets from strangers on twitter is ridiculous. I don’t remember Ben or Bob ever getting this kind of backlash. Kaitlyn isn’t the most conservative, poised bachelorette we’ve ever had, but she’s funny, tough, and down to earth.

3) Jared- Jared is so sweet and insightful. The reason he got the rose was because of how observant he was with Kaitlyn. The fact that he picked upon her old man laugh, and mirrored her mannerisms was impressive. It shows how much he cares for her that he finds these quirks and isn’t afraid to poke some fun at Kaitlyn.

4) Ben H.- He didn’t get any screen time this week, but he had such a great date with Kaitlyn last episode. He’s still a contender.

5) Ben Z.- I’m not sure if Kaitlyn really likes Ben Z., but he’s definitely a fan favorite.

Fashion: I loved the little black dress she wore in the casket. The black laced sleeves were really pretty. I really liked the outfit she wore during the cocktail party after. She wore leather pants which were super edgy. She also wore this  white sleeveless blouse, which I am obsessed with. It was a high collared tank, but it looked as though there was another sheer blouse underneath it. I also liked that it was more Kaitlyn’s style when she added two long necklaces.

Random Thoughts:

–  Ian and Kelsey should date. They both think they’re better than the show. They both take themselves way too seriously. It’s a perfect match.

– Cupcake had the corniest lines of the night. He referenced a pot of gold at one point, and said love was a battlefield.

– I love Tanner. It’s so funny that he knows he has no chance with Kaitlyn, and he even said that to her. He’s just there to have a good time and travel.

– I want the 2 on 1 date with JJ and Joe. At 9:30, I realized that it wasn’t going to happen this week. 😦

– Kaitlyn tweeted out “Just remember, when you judge me, you do not define me, you define yourself. think about that before sending out negativity to any1 tonight.” Good for her.

Red Petal Tank Top by Atmosphere: I loved that the petals scallop into a rose.

Blue Printed Loose Shorts by BeBop from Burlington Coat Factory: $9.99

Old Navy Strapless Red Maxi Dress: $12.99: This was one of my favorite pieces that I wore on my trip. It fit like a glove and the bright red really popped.

H&M Printed Tank Top: $9.99: Again, I really focused on different fun prints and, I liked the criss cross straps on this tank top.

Crocheted Tank Top by Rebel Sugar from Marshall’s: $9.99 Polka dot Printed Pant with Sheer Panels from Burlington Coat Factory: $10.98: I love these pants. The print is a messy polka dot print which appears as if it were painted on. I wasn’t sure about the sheer panels on the bottom, but when I tried them on, it looked really cool and modern.

Nashville Style: 3×19

This week was another great episode of Nashville. I wanted to pinpoint a few of my favorite outfits from the episode. I’m really glad Juliette is back with her usual “power” outfits. I’ve missed her structured looks in season 3. Check out the photos below for more details.

Rayna's blue star print blouse on Nashville

EQUIPMENT Slim Signature printed washed-silk shirt- $250: I really love how understated Rayna’s clothing is. She’s constantly wearing button downs and jeans. It definitely reflects her down to earth attitude towards everything. It’s a nice change compared to the other girls’ edgy clothing.

Juliette's red leopard print high-neck blouse on Nashville

Pierre Balmain Leopard Print Long Sleeve Sheer Blouse- $219: Juliette is back! She’s been wearing sweaters and t-shirts for a while. She’s clearly going crazy for the past few episodes, but it is nice to see her wearing her usual “power” outfits. I love the high collar and the animal print of this top too.

Layla's floral pleated jacket on Nashville

Alice + Olivia Jacket – Drapey Gathered Crop- $485.00: Layla’s wardrobe usually involves black, so this jacket was a nice change. With her funky ponytail and black dress, she wears the jacket in an edgy way.

Sunday Shorts: Lookbook Store

I love finding fashion websites to browse for clothing. The Lookbook Store is amazing with different deals and sales going on right now. I’ll leave the link below for their sale items. For today, I wanted to share some of their selection of shorts because I thought they were whimsical and fun, which is perfect for the summer. This season is all about lace, crocheted patterns, fringe, and prints. Check out the ones below. Below each picture, I left the link to each pair of shorts. I highly recommend using this website. It’s great for ideas, shopping and all things fashion.

Netural Chiffon Shorts

$27.00–  I love that these comfortable shorts can be worn so chic. They’re light, airy and whimiscal for the summer weather.

Apricot Crochet Lace Shorts

$27.00-  These cute crocheted shorts are romantic and fitted. I like that these can be worn with a simple tee and sandals, but you can also dress these up with a tank and blazer.

Pom Pom Ball Fringe Shorts - A

$26.00- These are gorgeous. I really want these shorts. The colors are so summery and the pom pom fringe is  playful and fun. These would be great for brunch or to wear on a vacation.

Hot Daisy Cutoffs

$23.00-  Denim cutoffs are ideal for casual summer days, and I love the little daisies on an otherwise plain pair of shorts. These would be great to wear for running simple errands, a picnic or a day at the park.

Foliage Print Shorts

$24.00- I like how tropical these are. These are vacation shorts. They’re meant to be worn on the beach. I think these would be cute with a graphic tee tucked into the shorts. I also like how the length is modest and appropriate for many ages.

Check out the Lookbook Store, and let me know what you think. Hope you liked this post. Have a great Sunday everyone!

OOTD 4/01/15

Peter Pan Collared Print Shirt from Promod: $7.99

I know the picture doesn’t show the print well, but it has white little leaves with teal polka dots! I love the crisp black collar and the dainty print on this blouse. I thoughtit was great for spring and got it at Promod on sale! The boots and jeans are both from Burlington Coat Factory ( I wear both all the time). I also thought putting my hair up would showcase the collar better.
