Reality has hit. I’m most likely going to be starting 2021 in lockdown, and it’s not great by any means, but it’s not stopping me from finding some sort of 2021 inspiration to look forward to. I have been just staring at my unworn blazers, jeans and dresses for what seems like ages, and the three outfits I wear on rotation while working from home simply won’t do going into the new year. Instead, I am opting for some fashion inspo a little more attainable considering the circumstances we’re in. Here’s 6 looks I’ll be tweaking my wardrobe towards going into 2021:
I really love a good oversized cardigan. It’s appropriate for Zoom calls and meetings throughout the day and you can look way more put together than your pajama shirt/ bottom combo you’re usually sporting.
Probably won’t be sporting this while working from home, but I love these sweatshirt/ sweatpants co-ords. It’s hard to find comfy clothes that also make a really bold fashion statement but the tie dye elevates this otherwise plain sweat suit.
Mom jeans are my new favorite style. I love how they look with sweaters tucked in, particularly with warm turtlenecks for a nice balanced look. One of my goals for 2021 is to not look like such a bum on my work calls. It’s easy to roll out of bed and wear the usual, but I think dressing up (even if it’s at home) can maybe make a difference in productivity.
Another 2021 goal is to actually have a proper workout routine. With home workouts becoming the normal and gyms closing due to Covid-19, the motivation needs to be there. And what better way to motivate one’s lazy self when they purchase workout gear as pretty as this set.
In case you haven’t noticed, big fan of the oversized look. It’s stylish, comfy, and can be worn with some nice warm leggings or on its own if you’re looking for a slightly warmer night shirt. Love the simplicity here.
I have been hunting for a cropped teddy bear jacket. It’s the perfect jacket to throw over your shoulders if the house is cold, and alternatively, it can be worn with some layers when going for a walk or shop.
This was my favorite piece from the past two episodes. The sequined shirt was such a fun look for Aria. In true Aria fashion, she wore these with mustard colored pants.
This Gucci jacket is stunning! Hanna’s style is definitely elevated to a more modern vibe this season. She’s been wearing a lot of white with standout pieces and I love this blazer.
I love anything with a collar. I especially love embellished collars such as floral, studs, and patterned. One of my personal favorite types are the laced ones, which are dainty and girly. This ASOS dress is a rich red color and the back has a small keyhole fastening in the back. This dress would look pretty with warm stockings and ankle boots. To also show off the collar, I’d wear a high ponytail or clip it back.
I love the outfits from this week’s episode of Pretty Little Liars, but it’s not helping that they’re wearing summery clothes during this cold February weather!

Nasty Gal ‘Dark Light Crop Tee’ – no longer available Forever 21 Maxi Skirt- $19.80: I love how subtle the striped crop top is with the floral maxi skirt. I want summer to come so I can wear a look like this!
ASOS ‘Fluro Crop Top Embellished Skater Dress’ – $123.18: The color is really girly and I love the sparkle on this dress. It’s a refreshing, girly change from the usual edgy outfits Aria wears.
BCBGMAXAZRIA ‘Cadie Zippered-Ruffle Peplum Top’ in Fern – $178.00: The peplum shape and neckline looks great on Hanna. I loved the simple ruffle too. Hanna’s style is a lot more downplayed this season. I’m liking it!
Topshop ‘Button Front Strappy Cami’ – $30.00: This yellow colored tank top is super pretty and loose. The buttery color looks great against Emily’s skin, and the top looks easygoing despite how concerned she looks in the photo above.
For the lovely ladies who have a Valentine this year, here are some deals I found online! Check out Topshop, ASOS, Forever 21 and H&M’s websites for more clothing! Also, I’ll be doing an accessory post for Valentine’s Day too sometime soon!
ASOS AX Paris Crochet Shift Dress- $41.11: This dress screams Valentine’s Day and I love the ease of shift dresses! I love a lace dress but it’s hard to find a quality one! This one is definitely worth it!
H&M Fitted Jacket- $24.95: I love the shape of this jacket. I really like the pictured look with the blush shirt and leather pant. A high-waisted pant looks best with this shape! The leather gives an edge to the look while a pink/ blush color softens up the look.
ASOS Vero Moda Long Sleeve Shirt Dress- $37.37: I love the idea of wearing a black dress for Valentine’s Day and then adding a splash of color with pink heels or a red statement necklace!
Forever 21 Quilted Faux Leather Skirt- $24.80: I adore a quilted skirt especially this one! A white button down and red tights would be super cute with this skirt.
Forever 21 Layered Boxy V-neck Tank- $17.90: Who says you have to wear red or pink? I think this lavender color is equally romantic and cute for Valentine’s Day.
Topshop Elastic Cut-Out Bodycon Dress- $40.00: I think a crisp white dress with simple red heels is great for Valentine’s Day! I love that the dress is simple and chic with a tiny cut-out! A statement necklace or cuff bracelet would also work with this look!
H&M Patterned Organza Dress- $24.95: This light blush colored, polka dotted dress is super girly and modest! Wear with black tights and black ankle boots for the cold weather!
Forever 21 Pleated Woven Joggers-$14.90 : For the people going on first dates, I think these pants are great because they aren’t too casual and they aren’t too dressy. A crop top looks great with these pants along with heels or boots.
Hope you liked the pieces I picked out! Comment below if you want a certain look or fashion trend to rock on Valentine’s Day!
