BIP Review: The Silver Fox, Papa Bear & Lamp Guy

Caila/ Jared/ Ashley:  Okay, so I might have an unpopular opinion, but I don’t blame Ashley for her actions entirely. Does she sometimes go overboard? Of course. But Caila and Ashley were friends prior to the show, and Caila specifically said she was never going to go for him. If I vented to my friend about trying to get over someone, I would be so upset if that friend started dating him. Wells needs to come already because 1) He’s awesome, and 2) Ashley needs to move on.

Izzy and Vinny: I really loved these two. I was rooting for them to last. I really loved Vinny on BIP, and he honestly just seems like a normal dude. Izzy can’t help how she feels, but she definitely could’ve handled it better. But at the same time, if she really loved Vinny, she wouldn’t be feeling doubtful. I like them both and wish nothing but the best for these two.

Lace and Grant: Lace seems like a handful after this episode. Bless Grant for the upcoming episodes.

Jen and Nick: Jen and Nick are such a cool couple. I love Nick’s honesty throughout this season and appreciate that Jen confronted him about being scared again. I’m rooting for you Nick!

Carly and Evan: Carly and Evan are easily the most entertaining couple simply because of their personalities. Between Evan’s constant excitement and Carly’s hilarious commentary, I think they’re the most real couple on paradise right now.

Ryan and Haley: The Silver Fox nabbed Haley and they had such a cute little date.

Emily and Carl: Emily and Carl were literally having the time of their lives on the date they went on. It was so funny to Emily all giddy.

Amanda and Josh: I like that these two comforted Izzy after the Vinny situation.

Lamp Guy: Who knew lamp guy was going to have such an impact just by being there?

BIP Episode 2 Review and Fashion

Here’s my review on each of the pairings on the show so far.

Amanda/Josh/Nick/Leah: Amanda and Nick had a great date that completely overshadowed Leah and Nick’s date. I think it was pretty stand up for Nick to tell Leah she wasn’t getting a rose from him. Then Josh walks in and he was so obnoxious and self-righteous. If he’s trying to prove that Andi’s book was all filled with lies, it’s not working. I love Amanda, but she ghosted Nick, which is never cool to do. Honestly, this whole plot made me want to read Andi’s book. XD

Daniel and Sarah: Okay, so Sarah and Daniel are actually kind of cute, right? What he said to her at the rose ceremony was so sweet, and I loved the little date he set up for her. Daniel is hilarious and ridiculous, so it leaves Sarah intrigued to explore that relationship rather than Christian.

Evan and Carly: Poor Carly. Evan is the only person who in interested in her, and she seems interested until they kiss. Her commentary is super funny, but I do feel bad for Evan. When I don’t feel bad for Evan is when he goes for Amanda. She’s sucking face with Josh, and he thinks he’s going to swoop in.

Emily and Jared: I hate how the show treats the twins. I’m going to keep mentioning it because it drives me nuts that the show keeps objectifying those two. They’re both individuals and they have their own personality. I love Emily. She’s got a great personality and she’s hilarious.  The scene where they kiss was cute, and I really liked drunk Emily too.

Izzy and Vinny: Not sure what happened with the Sarah stuff, but these two were rock solid in the last episode.

Lace and Grant: I like how Grant went over and told Lace he’d give her a chance after the Chad debacle. They also seem rock solid.

Haley and Brandon: Brandon seems so boring, and Carly seemed to be interested, but he opts for Haley. Emily and Haley switch places, and it makes for great television.

Fashion: So I found this website called Pradux, and it had tons of fashion from BIP’s last episode. I loved a lot of the dresses from the girls, so here are my thoughts. Here’s the link to tons of more fashion: http://www.pradux.com/tv/bachelor-in-paradise

Sarah Herron's Geometric Dress on Bachelor in Paradise

I love Sarah’s dress here. She wore a lot of pastels and I loved how pretty this long dress was.

Haley Ferguson's Green Ruffle Romper on Bachelor in Paradise

I love this romper. It’s super romantic and pretty. I also love the green color on Haley.

Amanda Stanton's Tassel Bikini Top on Bachelor in Paradise

This bathing suit top is really pretty. The tassels are super boho, along with the print. It’s also cute and works as a top to wear throughout the day.

Emily Ferguson's Leaf Print Romper on Bachelor in Paradise

This romper is super easygoing, and I love the leaf print on this piece.

The Bachelorette: Chad Overload

I’ve been in London for the past week so here is my recap for the past three episodes.

1-on-1 Dates:

Derrick: Derrick was the first one on one of the season, and he had a great showing. I liked that he made an effort to be decisive with each choice he was given. I had no idea there was even a Derrick after the first episode but he made a great first impression.

James Taylor:  James is awesome. I love how genuine and sweet he is with Jojo. I loved how outgoing and grateful he seemed during their entire date. The more he is shown the more I like him. That being said, I don’t think Jojo is going to end up with him. I would love it if she did pick him, but I don’t see that happening.

Luke: Luke is someone Jojo really likes just based on body language for the first couple of episodes. When they finally sat down for their date, Luke was so open and honest with Jojo. I really like them together, and see him going very far.

Chase: Chase is also another stand up guy. I loved the mini snow date at the cocktail party and when they went on their date, I really warmed up to him.

Power Rankings:

  1. Jordan– OK, it’s so obvious Jojo loves this guy. She’s already pressuring him for all this validation. She needs it from him because she just loves him. Kaitlyn did it with Shawn and Andi did it with Josh. Now Jojo is doing it.
  2. Luke
  3. Chase
  4. James T.
  5. Robby– Robby is someone I didn’t really think about until last night’s episode where Jojo said she felt comfortable with him even though she didn’t really know him.

Chad

Chad gets his own little section on my blog because he was just that much of a character. In episode 2, I actually didn’t mind him. He was pretty hilarious with the West Side Story comment and his commentary during the rose ceremony is gold.

He was also kind of right about saying he’s not going to say he’s falling for Jojo, when he doesn’t even know her. Did he go about it in the right way? Not really, but from Jojo’s perspective, she sees this guy is is being polarizing with how honest he is and she is intrigued by it. Additionally, when he does say he had feelings for Jojo, it’s more believable.

Now in episode 3 and 4, I can’t defend him…at all. The violent threats were absolutely ridiculous.  In what world is violent threats going to look good on television? His self-awareness flew out the window when he grabbed Evan’s shirt. Now I do think the constant pestering from Alex and Evan was a bit too much, but to say he’s going to beat up people is absurd. Now we wait for the epic conclusion of the Chad Saga.

Other Thoughts:

  • Chad’s eating habits at the cocktail party is literally me at any function.
  • The Jojo song had me dying. The bromance is real in the house.
  • That being said, who’s going to be the next villain? The house really bonded with their anti-Chad pact, but he’s gone now.
  • Chad explaining his protein shake analogy was really great.
  • I’m going to miss Chad. 😦
  • Wells was adorable. I think he’s a lock for Bachelor in Paradise. James too.
  • I think if Chase doesn’t win, he’d be a solid Bachelor.
  • Jojo is killing it when it comes to the fashion on the show.

The Bachelorette Review: Viall Gotta Vill

1) Nick V.- I have mixed feelings on Nick’s return. I don’t think it’s fear to the other guys, but Nick and Kaitlyn REALLY like each other. I think there was more than a handful of conversations between the two. You can tell Kaitlyn likes him a lot, because of her nervous energy and giddiness. They’ve got chemistry. My only fear is that he’s gonna pull the same lines he used on Andi’s season. Also, much to his dismay, he will definitely be the villain.

2) Shawn B.- Shawn was really worried this episode about Nick’s return. The guy does have a good point. Is there bond not good enough? Still, he’s been really quiet and confident for most of the season, and Kaitlyn was impressed with his ab flash this episode. Hopefully, they get a one-on-one date soon!

3) Jared- I’ve really warmed up to Jared this episode. He was saying all the perfect answers to Kaitlyn during their date. He’s also super genuine. I thought it was so cute when he messed up during his little speech and said he wants to be just like Kaitlyn.

4) Chris- Cupcake finally got some screen time, but he will not win this season. He has no shot with Kaitlyn. As much as I adore Cupcake, he just isn’t the right fit with someone edgy like Kaitlyn. He is gonna go far, because I think on paper, he seems perfect, but he won’t win. Perhaps he can drop by in paradise or if he gets a bigger edit, some Bachelor potential.

5) Joe- I love Joe. He would be amazing on Bachelor in Paradise. I just thought he was hysterical throughout the entire Aladdin date. First, he almost knocks down the set piece. Then, he sings his own version of “A Whole New World.” And finally, he mumbles in the back with Ben H. as they spy on Chris and Kaitlyn. Like Chris, he won’t win, but I think he’ll stick around for a few more weeks.

Random Thoughts:

– I love seeing all the alum. It was so nice to see Ashley I show up with Sharleen. I screamed when I saw Ashley S. I just adore her so much. It was the best part of the episode.

– Seeing guys talk smack about another guy is so silly and funny. I think Joshua is going to be the most upset. I also think he has no idea who Nick is.

-The lace sleeved dress Kaitlyn wore on her date with Jared was insanely gorgeous.

– Ian really fell off my radar. He’s probably gone next episode.

– Overall, I had a really hard time choosing a Top 5 this week. I mean, two of them have no shot with Kaitlyn as I pointed out. XD But I had to choose some guys, so I figured I’d pick some standouts. To be honest, I don’t know if there’s too many guys I can see with Kaitlyn. Surely, Shawn and Nick are frontrunners, and both the Ben’s are contenders, but I’m just not sure about the others.

– When’s the last time we had a rose ceremony? I need some closure.

Nashville Fashion: Juliette and Scarlett

There is a new episode of Nashville tonight! I apologize for not posting anything about the show for a while. I just caught up with the past few episodes. I love that Juliette is wearing some cuter clothes especially the gorgeous red dress she wore recently. I also thought Scarlett was darling in a long sleeve with overalls.

Juliette's red lace baby shower dress on Nashville

DOLCE & GABBANA Ruffled cotton-blend lace mini dress $3,675– I love the color of this dress. It really pops, and I love how conservative it is. It kind of reminds me of her wedding dress by how simple it is. I don’t usually love the frills on the bottom of dresses, but I’m crazy about how chic it looks on Juliette.

Scarlett's white crochet sleeve top and denim overalls on Nashville

Free People Overalls $98– I felt so bad for Scarlett in this episode. She doesn’t deserve cyber bullying. I did like her cute little ensemble though. Overalls are very in style especially the shorter ones for the summer. She wears it well with a long sleeve with a peek of crocheted patterns.
