Girl Meets Ski Lodge Pt.2 Fashion

Here’s my review for Girl Meets World Part 2:

Also, here’s Maya vest from the episode, which I really liked because it’s showing that Maya is back to her old self. Thanks to WornOnTV for the photo and details for a cheaper version of the denim vest. Riley’s sun sweater is also classic for her.

The Bachelorette’s Fashion Profiles

This week, we don’t get an episode of The Bachelorette, but instead, I thought I’d do a fun post about the past Bachelorette’s style. I love how distinct The Bachelorette’s styles have been. They each have their trademark. Here’s a guide to their style!

If you like Kaitlyn’s style…

I had a lot of fun making Kaitlyn’s profile. She has a youthful, fun-spirited style and it really shines through both on the show and through social media. I picked out a lot of casual sweaters and tees because she has a tomboy vibe. She does have a modern twist to her style though by wearing bomber jackets and leather jackets. For dresses, she’ll wear bodycon dresses and I thought the little button down tied to the waist added some edge.

If you like Ali’s style…..Ali

Ali’s style is very girl next door. I gave her some brighter pieces because I constantly see her wearing colors and prints on her Instagram. I also added some bobo pieces with the fringe and tassels. Mostly, I wanted to focus on color for Ali’s style. She used to have a very simple style, but it had definitely transformed into a more girly vibe.

If you like Desiree’s style….

I love that Desiree has a much different style than past leading ladies. The mom-to-be has a sweeter style and I notice she wears a lot of lace and fit and flares when it comes to dresses. I also added some edgier pieces like a leather jacket because she does balance out romantic pieces.

If you like Andi’s style….

Andi had a very classic feel to her pieces when she was The Bachelorette. I gave her a more modern blazer with the cut and color. I also gave some preppy prints such as gingham and polka dots. She also had a very casual style so I added some simple black jeans and the chambray dress.

Finally, if you like Jojo’s style….

Jojo has a very summery fun style. The long sleeved romper seemed very Jojo because she doesn’t shy away from color and her clothes are very whimsical. The clutches seemed very bold and fun too. I also did an off the shoulder dress and a strappy crop top because she does have a lot of hot trends in her wardrobe.

To make these collages, I was able to use It’s an awesome website and it’s free so I definitely recommend it!

I don’t claim to be some sort of expert on their styles, but I thought these were good representations of their fashion sense. I hope you enjoyed this post.

5 Things: 2015

I was inspired by weardaisywent, which is an awesome blog to check out! Here’s the link to her 5 Things:

Here are the 5 highlights from 2015 for me.

  • Traveling: This year I went to Montreal and the Bahamas for the first time, and both were amazing. Montreal is very artsy, and it was on my bucket list of places to travel. Additionally, I went to the Bahamas with my family and it was so relaxing. I’ve never been on a vacation like that, where I stayed on a resort, and I definitely made the most of it. I also had a lot of mini weekend trips, whether it was to a museum or to explore the city.
  • Taking Risks:  I used to be a more much calculated person. However, I’ve learned that there is so much to be gained by living in every moment. When you change your mind set to make the most of any situation, you become a risk-taker. I’ve taken so many more risks this year. I look back on some of the crazy things I’ve done this year and can’t believe I had the confidence to do some of them. A prime example: I crashed a wedding on New Year’s Eve. That was my first memory of 2015. Taking a leap of faith is scary, but it’s so much better to live with an “oh well,” than a “what if.”
  • Positivity: Besides living in every moment, I’ve also become a much more positive person. I think the main change is that I complain a lot less. Complaining doesn’t get you anywhere, and it certainly doesn’t change a crappy situation. There have been countless times this semester in school when I was overwhelmed with tons of work. But I knew that I just had to power through and take each day at a time.
  • College: This semester was amazing for me. I got promoted to an editor position for my newspaper. I also took on becoming a teaching assistant for the first time and continued with my radio show that I host on campus. Besides that, I started working at the theater for my school and started writing for a website. I worked so hard this semester, and it paid off. I also made a ton of new friends in the process of being so busy. I look back on my semester and am proud for how well I did on my own.
  • Blogging: When I first started my blog, I had no idea what I was doing. Making a blog is so simple, and again, it was another risk I took this year. However, it has definitely provided an outlet to express myself. As a writer, it’s nice to share my posts with other bloggers. I hope to grow from where I’ve started.

What are some of your highlights from this year?

New Year’s Eve Outfits Under $50

I love seeing all the glamour and glitter of New Year’s Eve outfits, so I decided to share some steals from Forever 21 and H&M. There is a LOT of black, but I think black and sparkle are key when choosing a fun outfit to go out in. And for those who are staying in, I’ll do a separate post on what to wear when you’re staying in and lounging around, but still want to celebrate the occasion.

Forever 21– This is a classic New Year’s Eve dress. It’s shimmery and glamorous with its sparkle, but it’s still relaxed and easygoing with the shift fit of the dress.

H&M– For a more understated sparkle, this dress hugs the body more. It also has a more unique design with a scalloped hem.

Forever 21– This leather crop top is great whether you’re going to a party or spending the evening with friends. For a dressy look, pair it with a simple body con skirt or a wide legged pant like the photo above. For a more casual look, pair it with high-waisted jeans and a knitted cardigan.

Forever 21– I love that this criss-cross style is back. The deep V-neck is a great trend to try out with the drawstring weaved in because it’s a little more modest.

H&M– If you’re not into the sparkle, you can still make a bold statement with a pantsuit. This collared pantsuit is crisp and classic to ring in the new year. It’s perfect if your style is more on the preppier side.

H&M– Fur has become a huge trend this season. I love the idea of wearing this boxy fur top with sleek leather leggings.

H&M– This lace long sleeve is great if you’re spending the new year with family and friends. It’s also on sale, which is a plus.

H&M Dress: $6.99 Mandee Knitted Cardigan: $16.99 Forever 21 Necklace: $3.90

This was my Christmas outfit. I got this H&M dress on black Friday, and it came in this blood orange color and a floral print. Even though it was a spring dress, I paired it with a cozy knitted cardigan and a simple diamond pendant necklace.
