PLL Fashion from the Premiere

There was so much fashion from last night’s episode of PLL. It’s five years later and the fashion is still consistent. Thank you to PLL Closet on tumblr. Check out her blog here: http://pllcloset.tumblr.com/tagged/6×11

Vince ‘Long Sleeve Abstract Block Tee’ – $93.00: Spencer’s style is still structured with this geometric sweater and a collared shirt underneath.

Elevenses ‘Archival Collection: No 2 Pencil Skirt’ – no longer available: I loved this outfit. The shirt is super cute, but the standout piece is this pencil skirt. A pencil skirt with pencils is very quirky and fits Aria’s style well.

Zara ‘Cape’ – no longer available: I love how modern this cape is. I would expect to see Spencer wearing this over Aria.

Haute Hippie ‘Long Sleeve Silk Shirt Dress’ – $124.97: Ali looked so pretty in this color. This shirt dress really brings out her eyes and I love how her hair was pinned back on the side.

BCBGMAXAZRIA ‘Runway Myles Jacket’ – no longer available: Aria always wears embellished jackets and this one fits Aria’s style well. I like the studs with the Aztec print.

MINKPINK ‘Pina Coladas Tank’ – $39.00: This shirt was perfect for where Emily is five years later. This tank was fun and simple. Very Emily.

Maggy London ‘Illusion Yoke Crepe Sheath Dress’ – $148.00: This was my favorite of the funeral dresses.

Whitney Eve ‘The Baths Dress’ – $107.98: Hanna’s style hasn’t changed too much, but she does look more refined with cream and rose colors.

BCBGMAXAZRIA ‘Keary Burnout Lace Skirt’ – $160.80: This midi skirt is very spring. The paneling also adds a modern touch.

Style Icon: Chloe Bennet

Chloe Bennet wore this dress at the InStyle and WB Golden Globes Party.  She’s wearing Suzanne Kalan’s champagne baguette diamonds studs. I love the sequined dress  and her tousled waves add to the romantic feel.

2016 Golden Globes Best Dressed

Last night was the Golden Globes and here are my favorite looks from last night.

Brie Larson won for best actress last night, but she also won for best dressed in my book. The Calvin Klein dress was perfection. The top is so interesting, and her hair was styled perfectly with the dress to look sleek and modern.
I’m not a huge fan of tiered dresses, but Zendaya makes the look work. The Marchesa dress was fitted well on the top, and I loved how romantic her hair and earrings were with the dress.
Amy Adams looked really beautiful in this gorgeous blood orange dress. It’s effortless with its fit and fun with the beading.
There’s always one dress that screams grecian at award shows, and this is it. The fit is amazing, and I love how it looks like it was wrapped around so effortlessly with her pinned back hair.
It’s silver, sparkly  and fits like a glove. It passes all the criteria for a classic award winning look.
J-law wowed in her usual Dior dress. The cutouts on the side are modern and youthful. The necklace also added a glamorous feel to the overall look.

Favorite Looks from People’s Choice

Here were my five favorite looks from the People’s Choice Award. Let me know which one was your favorite in the comment section.

Kate Hudson
I love Kate Hudson’s pantsuit! I’m a huge fan of them especially with award season coming up. The white minimalist vibe is working so well here.
Meghan Trainor
I love the fit of this dress of Meghan Trainor. It’s fun and flirty for an event like People’s Choice.
Priyanka Chopra
This Vera Wang Collection dress was amazing. It was one of my favorites because it was a huge risk, but it paid off. It’s hard to mix silver and gold especially with sequins as big as they were. I thought it stood out the most and she let the dress shine with simple styling and silver heels.
Lucy Hale
This was another risk that paid off. In a very Aria look, Lucy Hale wore a boho dress with sheer panels. This dress is gorgeous, but it’s the type of dress that has to be styled perfectly, and she did. I loved the braided updo and dark lipstick.
Shay Mitchell
Shay always wears sleek modern looks, but I loved the twist on a slit with the gold added. I also love her hair slicked back.

The Bachelor Premiere: My Top 7 Picks

http://www.popsugar.com/entertainment/Ben-Higgins-Bachelor-Contestants-2016-38677501#photo-38677501

The Bachelor is back! I’m so excited for this season especially because Ben is killing it already. After Chris and Juan Pablo, Ben is a refreshing change. Here is my list of girls who stood out.

Caila: This girl is super cute and sweet. She seems like she’s going to be fun, and she reminds me a little of Catherine. I think she’s going to go pretty far.

Lauren B: She seems really down to earth and grounded. When Ben was hanging out with her, he seemed a lot more at ease. I think they have natural chemistry and I can also see her going far.

Jami: I loved Jami’s dress. Her white two piece was one of my favorite outfits of the night. Even though she didn’t have much air time, but I can see her being a dark horse.

Becca: Becca is another person that has natural chemistry with Ben, but I’m not sure if she’s going to be Ben’s pick in the end. They didn’t show much of their conversation but they’ll bond over production stuff . Also, I loved Becca’s dress too! I loved the criss cross neckline.

Amanda: Amanda reminds me of Renee from Juan Pablo’s season. She is so sweet, and I can see her as the next Bachelorette if she gets far.

Olivia: Olivia is stunning, and she seems very confident with herself. I like her, but there definitely seems to be drama ahead. I think she’ll have the same fate that Britt did.

Jojo: Jojo had a weird entrance, but she owned the unicorn mask, so it worked for her.

Other Random Thoughts:

  • There’s a good chance that Ben will choose a Lauren.
  • I laughed so hard when the chicken enthusiast was staring at photos of a bunch of chickens and some guy on television.
  • Why was Chris giving advice to Ben?
  •  I loved a lot of the dresses. There was tons of sparkle.
  • Hope you enjoy the coverage for the season!

5 Things: 2015

I was inspired by weardaisywent, which is an awesome blog to check out! Here’s the link to her 5 Things:

http://weardaisywent.com/2015/12/27/5-things-2015-roundup/

Here are the 5 highlights from 2015 for me.

  • Traveling: This year I went to Montreal and the Bahamas for the first time, and both were amazing. Montreal is very artsy, and it was on my bucket list of places to travel. Additionally, I went to the Bahamas with my family and it was so relaxing. I’ve never been on a vacation like that, where I stayed on a resort, and I definitely made the most of it. I also had a lot of mini weekend trips, whether it was to a museum or to explore the city.
  • Taking Risks:  I used to be a more much calculated person. However, I’ve learned that there is so much to be gained by living in every moment. When you change your mind set to make the most of any situation, you become a risk-taker. I’ve taken so many more risks this year. I look back on some of the crazy things I’ve done this year and can’t believe I had the confidence to do some of them. A prime example: I crashed a wedding on New Year’s Eve. That was my first memory of 2015. Taking a leap of faith is scary, but it’s so much better to live with an “oh well,” than a “what if.”
  • Positivity: Besides living in every moment, I’ve also become a much more positive person. I think the main change is that I complain a lot less. Complaining doesn’t get you anywhere, and it certainly doesn’t change a crappy situation. There have been countless times this semester in school when I was overwhelmed with tons of work. But I knew that I just had to power through and take each day at a time.
  • College: This semester was amazing for me. I got promoted to an editor position for my newspaper. I also took on becoming a teaching assistant for the first time and continued with my radio show that I host on campus. Besides that, I started working at the theater for my school and started writing for a website. I worked so hard this semester, and it paid off. I also made a ton of new friends in the process of being so busy. I look back on my semester and am proud for how well I did on my own.
  • Blogging: When I first started my blog, I had no idea what I was doing. Making a blog is so simple, and again, it was another risk I took this year. However, it has definitely provided an outlet to express myself. As a writer, it’s nice to share my posts with other bloggers. I hope to grow from where I’ve started.

What are some of your highlights from this year?
