This is an outfit I wore for a wedding. This is a jumpsuit from H&M that I got on sale for $25.00. This is a length I’ve never worn before, and the ruffle top is very bold, so I was hesitant to wear something like this, but it definitely stood out in a sea of dresses.
I used to be so worried about taking risks with fashion and “standing out too much” but if you love what you’re wearing and own your look, then rock your outfit with confidence. I’ve learned over the years that if you act unphased by people’s opinions, that you can truly be yourself.
Here’s a summery shirt I wore the other day. It’s a simple tie button up with a polka dot and daisy print, and it was only $7 from H&M. I’m really loving these lightweight button up tops for the summer, especially the shorts sleeves cuffed blouses I’ve been seeing everywhere. You can wear them casually with ripped denim shorts or dress it up with a pair of low rise trousers.
Here, I am wearing an off the shoulder blouse by Japna. The fitted ones are really cute too with high waisted shorts and skirts, but if you’re more into flowy tops, then a simple pair of low rise shorts can balance out the outfit. Leggings or skinny jeans would also pair well with this shirt. These shorts are from H&M for $12.99.
I also love these sandals by Rouge Helium from Joyce Leslie. I think slides are a little too chunky for me, but these simple sandals have straps that are more fitted. Overall, this was a really casual summer outfit that’s probably more appropriate when the weather is a little cooler with the oversized sleeves from the top. Hope you enjoyed this quick post.
Today, I’m going to be talking about revamping your closet without actually spending anything, which is something I’ve been trying to do more of lately.
I am the worst at packing. I overthink all my outfits and usually forget something essential to make a look work. Over the weekend, I wore this outfit, which wasn’t planned at all.
I forgot to pack the proper skinny jeans to wear with this hoodie and a blouse to pair with these lightweight trousers. I decided to try to go for a athleisure look, and ya know what? I actually really like this look.
Before you go shopping, maybe try making your closet feel new again by mixing some pieces together. Try pairing those old beat down overalls you were planning on throwing out with striped long sleeves or even a turtleneck. Wear a denim skirt with a hoodie. This is definitely a cool pairing. My mom even asked me if this came as a set.
After doing some major spring closet cleaning, I’m much more cautious about keeping my closet more concise and shopping smarter for pieces that you can mix and match more with so that it lasts longer. This hooded sweatshirt was $10 from H&M, and it’s pretty versatile. You can wear it with a jean or leather jacket or by itself all the time. These trousers were also from H&M, and I usually wear these with a cute dressy blouse or button up shirt.
Anyway, hope you liked this quick post. I also want to apologize to my poor brother who was in the bathroom while I was quickly doing a little photo shoot on self-timer 🙂
Here is my outfit from last Saturday. I wore a blue floral printed button down blouse from Marshall’s for $14.99. It had a cute little tie at the waist too for a more fitted casual look. I loved this color for the summer, and these matching tinted sunglasses from JCPenney were only $10.
For the summer season, I can be so lazy with my outfits because there is limited layering, but my goal is to really embrace the summer weather and go for more lightweight pieces like this top.
It’s almost the weekend, so here is one of my favorite go to outfits to wear during the spring/summer season. This is my Dad’s actual army jacket, which I wear all the time because not only does it have family ties, but the oversized jacket look is stylish as well. These jeans are super old from Topshop, and I’ve had these converse for years now, but I liked how casual this outfit was for a weekend out and about.
Also, if you have time to enjoy a margarita, the summer is the perfect time, so treat yourself! Hope you liked this quick post!
I got this yellow turtleneck for only $5 at Forever 21. Originally, it was $17.99, but I snagged this sweater for way cheaper because it was during their big sale after New Year’s Eve. I love wearing sweaters during the winter time, but the cropped ones definitely flatter my shape more and look great with high waisted jeans.
